UPS is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source or mains power fails.
Our Solar UPS is capable of charging batteries from Solar, Grid, or DG power sources, has a large energy capacity, and has the intelligence to prioritise Solar Power. When solar power is insufficient to meet load requirements, it uses grid power.
UPS includes an isolation transformer. Isolation, also known as galvanic isolation, denotes the absence of a direct path for current to flow from the source to the load. An isolation transformer separates electrical devices from the power source that powers them. In other words, an isolation transformer electrically and physically isolates the output power circuit from the input power circuit. As a result, the isolation transformer ensures the safety of both users and appliances.
UPS utilises revolutionary bi-directional technology. A bi-directional technology is one that enables two-way charging due to its ability to convert from AC to DC and from DC to AC. A bi-directional technology charges and discharges the battery using the same PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)-based MOSFET (metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor) circuit.
The built-in Solar Charge Controller handles power management for you. When it’s sunny outside, it regulates the voltage and current from your Solar Roof to optimally charge the batteries, and it switches to Grid Supply when solar power is unavailable.
Voltage and frequency fluctuations are common occurrences in homes. When the voltage supply falls below a certain level, we notice the fans slowing down, the blub light dimming, or the tube light blinking frequently. This is known as a low voltage supply. There are also times when the voltage spikes. We’ve all noticed that when we turn on a light bulb, it goes out and becomes fused because it can’t withstand a high voltage spike.
Short circuits are all too common. As a result, every household has an MCB or main fuse. These, however, can be slow and ineffective in protecting your appliances from damage.
We understand how much you adore your appliances. As a result, we created the Solar Hybrid PCU to add a smart layer of protection to them. It includes a Special MCB that trips and protects all of your appliances even before the traditional MCB responds.
The Solar Hybrid PCU has a Right Charging Mechanism that charges batteries optimally for longer battery life.
Adaptive Performance using ATC
The Solar Hybrid PCU is intended for use in inclement weather. It is equipped with an ambient sensor and an antenna. Solar Hybrid PCU senses the temperature around it and makes intelligent adjustments thanks to advanced Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) built right into the microprocessor.
In summers or hotter regions, for example, the temperature is high, so the battery is charged to a lower voltage to provide the same power backup performance. This saves you money while also ensuring that the battery does not overheat, lose water, or become damaged. Similarly, because the temperature is lower in the winter or colder places, the battery is charged to a higher boost voltage to ensure you get the required or expected amount of power back-up. This makes Solar Hybrid PCU an excellent choice for any climate, from the extremes of Northern America and Europe to the scorching heat of the Middle East and South-East Asia.
What if your UPS experiences a technical failure and is unable to reconnect your load to the main power supply? This is common with almost every UPS or Inverter, but not with the Solar Hybrid PCU models because they have a ‘Automatic bypass system’ that bypasses the mains supply even if the UPS is faulty.
In this mode, if there is a short circuit, our UPS will automatically shut down and restart. In this process, our UPS will determine whether the condition of short circuit has been eliminated or not; if the condition of short circuit has been eliminated, the UPS will resume normal operation; if the condition of short circuit persists, our UPS will retry four times before permanently shutting down. Reset the front switch of the UPS to make it operational again.
